New Technology at Work
24-hour vital sign monitoring now available
Studies show that changes in heart rate and respiratory rate can predict serious health problems before they occur.Ā Continuous remote monitoring can help doctors and nurses detect changes that could signal a problem and intervene early.
With that in mind, Mary, Queen and Mother Center has partnered with clinicians of Tapestry Health to use radar-based remote monitoring technology to help our care team keep a watchful eye on residents’ and patients’ vital signs while prioritizing privacy and comfort. There are no cameras or microphones, and no images or sounds are collected or recorded. The no-contact unit is installed on a nearby wall and signals are conducted through blankets, sheets and clothing. Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) has been cleared and deemed safe by the FDA, and is approved by Medicare, Medicaid and most insurances.
