COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
“There is more happiness in giving than in receiving.”
Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, the mission of Cardinal Ritter Senior Services is to be a leader in providing an integrated continuum of quality social services, housing, residential care and healthcare services for the older person. The mission is accomplished in a nurturing environment, which recognizes every person’s dignity and provides security, advocacy and independence.
At Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, we provide many services to our residents, including medical care; physical, occupational and speech therapy; food services; social services; and activities.
Volunteers are a very important part of our team. Our volunteers come from many different backgrounds and contribute in many different ways. Volunteers make all the difference for the residents of Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, who eagerly look forward to your arrival! Volunteers bring in a fresh outlook and enthusiasm. They are an important avenue to the community, providing a demonstration of the community’s interest and concern for our residents, and giving the residents a sense of belonging. Volunteers provide human warmth and a sense of caring. And of course, with their extra pair of hands, our staff can accomplish so much more.
All volunteers must complete the following forms:
- Volunteer Application
- The Archdiocese’s Commitment to Ethical Conduct
- A HIPAA/Confidentiality Form
In addition, those volunteers who will be serving eight (8) hours or more in a CRSS facility must also complete the following:
- A Family Care Safety Registry Form and submit to a background check
- Have an annual PPD test
- Complete “Protecting God’s Children” workshop provided by the Archdiocese
To submit your Volunteer Application now, click the above Online Volunteer Form link and complete your application which will be sent online to the CRSS Volunteer Office.
