"There is more happiness in giving than in receiving."  - Acts, 20:35

volunteers 3.jpgVolunteers are a very important part of our team.  Our volunteers come from many different backgrounds and contribute in many different ways.  Volunteers make all the difference for the residents of Cardinal Ritter Senior Services, who eagerly look forward to your arrival!  Volunteers bring in a fresh outlook and enthusiasm.  They are an important avenue to the community, providing a demonstration of the community's interest and concern for our residents, and giving the residents a sense of belonging.  Volunteers provide human warmth and a sense of caring.  And of course, with their extra pair of hands, our staff can accomplish so much more.volunteers 2.jpg

All volunteers must complete the following forms:

  1. a Volunteer Application

  2. the Archdiocese's Commitment to Ethical Conduct

  3. a HIPAA/Confidentiality Form

In addition, those volunteers who will be serving eight (8) hours or more in a CRSS facility must also complete the following:

  1. a Family Care Safety Registry Form and submit to a background check

  2. have an annual PPD test

  3. complete "Protecting God's Children" workshop provided by the Archdiocese

If you would like to become a volunteer, please browse our list of Volunteer Opportunities.  Then, complete both pages of our Volunteer Application to let us know what kind of volunteer work interests you most.  After you submit your application, we will contact you to talk about your interests and skills and the opportunities that might best fit your talents, schedule, location, etc.
