As part of the holistic approach to care at Mary, Queen and Mother, we address the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of residents. Our goal is to provide a variety of services, collaborate with other providers, and be sensitive to the feelings of families during difficult times that include intermediate care, skilled care, subacute or specialized dementia and Alzheimer care.
Meeting residents' health needs along with providing comfort and a feeling of security are high priorities for our care team. Families are encouraged to participate as care partners in identifying needs of their loved ones. Some of these community providers include the services of a full-service pharmacy, hospice, durable medical equipment, respiratory services, and infusion therapy.
Rehabilitation services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy in an interdisciplinary approach. The therapy plan is developed and carried out by licensed therapists in conjunction with nursing care plans. Furthering the interdisciplinary approach, nursing continues the therapy regimen out on the nursing unit to enhance the resident's recovery and strengthening process.
Several services are essential for residents to improve their health status during their stay at Mary, Queen and Mother Center. In addition to the skilled nursing team, the Activities Department provides a blend of group and individual activities. Residents are encouraged to take part in activities at the facility and off-site. What makes the overall program special is the attention each resident receives from the staff. The staff members of the Social Services Department serve as resident advocates and a support mechanism for families. Dining services provides seasonal menus developed from resident input and special diets as needed. Mass as well as other religious services are available.
