CRSS has grown to be the largest agency of Catholic Charities and has been recognized on local and national levels for its expansive work on behalf of the senior adult.

CRSS promotes a nurturing environment that recognize every person's dignity and provides security, advocacy and independence.

Integrated Health and Social Services

ADULT DAY PROGRAM
Our Adult Day Program provides assistance to families caring for senior adults who cannot be left alone during the day, but who do not yet need 24-hour nursing home care. The goals of Adult Day Program include: maintaining and/or improving functional levels; providing stimulation and motivation; enhancing self image; building community; preventing premature nursing home placement; providing respite for caregivers. HOMEMAKER PROGRAM
Homemaker Program participant The Homemaker Program provides trained and qualified workers to perform personal care and housekeeping duties in the persons home regardless of race, creed, or income level. The goal of the program is to assist senior adults so they can remain in their homes longer. Services are generally available Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but can be flexible according to an individual's needs. Call 314-918-2295 for more information.

SOCIAL SERVICES
RSVP participants CRSS has a dedicated Social Service Department that provides seniors in the community with access to extensive services and support programs, information resources, and referral services. Services include: geriatric case management; programs for grandparents acting as parents; services to connect seniors with food and shelter; financial support and management; psychological and medical resources and counseling. Social services are also provided for those in CRSS senior apartment living, assisted living, skilled nursing facility and those who live in their own homes. Call 314-918-2258 for more information.

TELEPHONE REASSURANCE PROGRAM
This outreach and support program checks-in with senior adults at home on a regular basis. The goal of the Telephone Reassurance Program is to allow seniors to remain in their homes longer by making sure they are safe, have eaten, and taken their medication. Call 314-918-2294 for more information.
